A few words about the tutor and head of the concept
Mrs. Elissavet Iakovidou – Menzel born in Athens, Greece, is a Greek and English teacher and she has studied at the Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki, faculty English and Greek language and literature.
She has been teaching for about thirty years at the state high schools in Athens.
She has visited USA, Denver, Colorado and stayed there for two years, attending the East High School.
She has lived for ten years in Berlin, Germany, because of her husband’s origin, working at the Greek Senior High School and working at the same time on her dessertation for about three years.
There she has been inolved in cultural activities in school and has been an active member of a cultural mixed Union of Greeks and Germans.
She has published two novels, ‘PURE HUG’ 2004, Tsoukatou Publications
and a book about Mani, ‘ETHICS IN WILD”, 2008, Adouloti Mani Publications.
She has written many articles about Mani too, published in local newspapers.

She has been also publishing articles in Athenian newspapers and magazines.
Mani has become her second home since she with her German husband bought an old traditional house 1888 and they renovated in 1999.
She loves Mani, writing books, singing and teaching Greek to people who love Mani and are interested in Greek history and culture.
She plays the guitar and sings Greek songs.
